Storyteller and singer Mark Anderson will come to the library for a special program “Tales of Love and Romance” on Wednesday, May 9th at 6:30 p.m.  Mark is a published poet and author, interweaving his story telling with original and cover songs. Mark plays at Farmers Markets in the tri-state area.  Mark also enjoys playing at open mic and other community events.  Mark’s songwriting was influenced by the styles of Gordon Lightfoot and Greg Brown, (as well as the country music stations that his father had on at chore time in the barn).  His stories are warm and relate-able.  Born and raised in Eastern Iowa, he moved to rural Waukon in 2012 where he lives with his lovely wife and their pets.  Mark has worn many hats in his life and has a wealth of experiences from which to draw for his material.

Refreshments will be served following the program.
