Furs-n-Lead: The Life of a Voyageur along the Mississippi River:
A voyageur’s life was one of travel and trade, as they encountered both the Native American peoples
and wildlife species along the Upper Mississippi River. Examine the role that furs and lead played in the
lives of these historic individuals. People of all ages will enjoy this program. April 10 @ 6:30 p.m. at the Guttenberg Municipal Building auditorium.
Tim Juhl will present a poetry-writing workshop at the library on Saturday, April 14, from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. in the library meeting room. Mr. Juhl is a widely published poet who has taught poetry in Florida, North Carolina, and Iowa. Using unique writing exercises, both beginning and experienced writers will discover new ways of expressing their ideas on paper. Writers of every level are welcome. This program is geared for people ages 17 and up. Attendees should bring a brown bag lunch. A beverage will be provided. A snack will be provided by the Guttenberg Care Center. Registration is requested, but walk-ins are welcome if space allows.
