A Night of Pilates-Inspired Moves to Strengthen Your Core
As part of Healthy Lifestyles @ Your Library, sponsored by a Wal*Mart Community Grant, the Guttenberg Library will present "A Night of Pilates-Inspired Moves to Strengthen Your Core." This free session will be taught by fitness instructor Suzanne Reindl. Bring your own mat or towel to lie on. Teens and adults welcome.

Antique Appraisal Program
Terri Applegate, a certified antique appraiser from LeClaire Antiques in LeClaire, IA will be here at the Guttenberg Library to present a program on antiques and will teach throughout the appraisal process. There is a cost of $5 per item to be appraised.

Antique Glass Program
Antique glass collector Fred Phelps will be at the library to present a program about vintage glass. Patrons may bring in their own antique glass items to be identified. Fred also has written a new memoir about his experiences as an Army Nurse Corps Officer during the Vietnam War and will have some of his books entitled "Born on the Fifth of July" on hand to sign for people.

Bucket Boys
The library and the Guttenberg Development and Tourism group will sponsor a performance of the Bucket Boys on Saturday, June 27, 2009 at 4:00 PM during Stars and Stripes River Day. Join the fun! Come watch this exciting duo perform.

Folk Music with Cathy & Dave
A program for the young and young-at-heart. Join us at the library for music by this singing duo which has performed on the Delta Queen and other riverboats, school assemblies, and communities. They offer a program with both vocal & instrumental styles including dulcimer, banjo, autoharps, bones, spoon, mouthbow and leaf. This program is made possible by a donation by Russ & Juanita Loven.
